Who We Are

Nebulark.net (“we”, “us”, “our”) publishes and operates the OneMcqs application.

Information We Collect

  1. User-Provided Content: Text you manually enter and content you extract from selected documents to generate practice questions.
  2. Files You Select: When choosing a document, the App accesses and reads only the specific file you select solely for MCQ generation.
  3. On-Device App Data: Saved MCQ lists, question decks, test progress, custom titles, prompt history, and generation parameters (stored locally using Room Database and SharedPreferences).
  4. Technical & Device Identifiers: Basic device identifiers, IP addresses, and request headers automatically transmitted by underlying networking protocols and Google API libraries to authenticate requests and protect against abuse.

Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not access or collect your contacts, precise GPS location, photo gallery, camera, microphone, or perform background storage indexing.

Advertising and Analytics

  • We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the application. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers (including Android Advertising ID), IP addresses, and app interaction data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, prevent fraud, and analyze ad performance. All data collection by Google AdMob is handled in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.

How We Use Information

  1. Core Functionality: To generate, display, format, and organize MCQs for your study sessions.
  2. Local Storage: To maintain your study history, saved decks, and progress directly on your device.
  3. AI Generation: To transmit your prompts and extracted document text to our AI processing provider to receive structured question outputs.

Third Parties and Data Sharing

  1. AI Processing (Required): Your inputs (prompts and extracted study text) are processed using Google Generative AI (“Gemini”). All processing is subject to Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  2. No Data Brokerage: We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information, generated decks, or study material to data brokers or commercial third parties.

Data Storage and Retention

  1. Local-First Architecture: Your generated MCQs, custom decks, and study metrics are stored locally on your device.
  2. Cloud Backups: Android system backup is disabled for this App; we do not host, synchronize, or back up your data to proprietary cloud servers.
  3. Server-Side Retention: We do not maintain user accounts or persistent database records of your generated queries on our servers.
  4. AI Provider Handling: Data sent to the AI provider is processed according to Google’s enterprise security policies. Avoid including sensitive, personal, or confidential text within generation prompts.

Permissions Used

  • READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_DOCUMENTS: Enables document picking so you can convert study notes into questions. The App only accesses the single file you explicitly choose.

Your Choices and Controls

  1. File Selection: You maintain complete control over which text files or pasted excerpts you submit for processing.
  2. Data Deletion: You can delete individual MCQs or entire decks directly within the App. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all locally saved data.
  3. Privacy Inquiries: Because we do not store user accounts or profile records on remote servers, privacy requests generally involve deleting local application data.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Your local data is isolated via Android application sandboxing. While we apply industry-standard protections appropriate for a local-first application, no digital transmission method is 100% secure.

International Data Transfers

Prompts submitted for MCQ generation are processed across Google’s global server infrastructure, which may be located outside your home country.

Regulatory Disclosures (GDPR & CCPA)

  • We do not sell personal data or engage in automated consumer profiling.
  • Where local laws grant rights of access, rectification, or deletion, these can be exercised directly by clearing App storage or contacting us.

Changes to This Policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions will be published with a revised effective date.
